UNIVERSO

This work is the desire to materialize the restlessness of mind, the thoughts that animate everyday life. And make them real.My childhood ground represents my past and my present, and the process is a journey, is an investigation of the past, memories, which at the same time interpret the reality of every day.Suspending space and time in vision that open to the surreality and where everything is however associated to the real.These prints are like mapping the geometries unstable and fickle that become visible after remaining invisible in the region of oblivion. I guess when the work in process begins to live its own life. It’s something lyrical and dreamlike, and also realistic and material. Something visceral.Forms spread on the surfaces, they run through the center to go to founder in the edge of vast spaces empty. Following perhaps such as migration,a pulse of stream of consciousness, an improvisation.Every prints are testimony of adventures of the minds, wandering the deep unconscious, that is like the darkness of Universe.”

“Affondo le mani nella terra cercando le mie radici, in quella terra su cui sono nata. La unisco all’acqua, vedendo nascere la sua migrazione in un sensuale fluire. La volontà di catturare un istante, si accende.Raggiungo così l’istante decisivo, facendomi guidare dall’intensità in cui la volontà ed il canto riempiono l’atmosfera di questa camera oscura.Qui e ora, la luce trascrive l’introspezione sulla materia della carta, aprendomi alla più profonda comprensione di questo Tutto, che sta dentro e fuori di me. L’Universo.Trascendi l’illusione e percorri un viaggio circolare che sfiora l’impalpabile e lo radica in una forma. Una mappa.Sono “mappe” di un Universo interiore, sono fotogrammi su carte baritate fotosensibili, che ho creato in camera oscura con acqua, terra e luce.”

Le immagini sono il risultato di sperimentazioni off-camera realizzate dall’artista utilizzando la terra del giardino della sua infanzia.Giorgia valli agisce direttamente sulla carta fotografica, in camera oscura, ottenendo immagini uniche e irripetibili. Il movimento del terreno sulla carta riflette forme instabili ed evanescenti che attraversano il vasto spazio della superficie. L’obiettivo è quello di portare alla luce una mappatura intima che rimanda a una costellazione, evidenziata dall’autrice cucendo assieme vari fogli di carta fotografica con fili colorati, fino a ottenere immagini di grandi dimensioni.La componente cromatica dei fili rimanda a un sistema utilizzato in astronomia per catalogare le stelle in base alla loro temperatura:O=BLU, B=AZZURRO, A=BIANCO, F=BIANCO-GIALLO, G=GIALLO, K=ARANCIO, M=ROSSO.”
